I was really excited to work with this amazing new non profit group! These kinds of projects geared towards bringing great things to the community are my favorite, especially when it has to do with art! So when the wonderful ladies at the Creative Arts Guild of Wylie reached out to me, I was game! The goal is to bring art and community to a growing suburb where many young “hip” families are moving.
“The mission of the Creative Arts Guild of Wylie is to develop, present and engage residents of the City of Wylie in artistic experiences and endeavors. We are committed to providing community outreach to enrich and develop awareness and appreciation of all art forms. “
Creative Brief: Establish a cohesive and recognizable branding that is both creative and modern but family friendly.
Solution: We worked together to establish a modern and bright brand through color and clean typography. The simple geometric shapes and bold colors allow the brand to be playful without becoming to “kiddy”. Part of what the CAGW will offer is reoccurring “Art In The Park” events that are for everyone from babies to senior citizens. I brainstormed concepts and designed various flyers, volunteer sign up cards, business cards, social media graphics and materials to help promote the group and encourage community involvement.
They wanted to start their organization off with a bang by hosting free “Art In The Park” events over spring break. I created social media graphics to promote it and for the Facebook event. This included flyers and separate “Art In The Park” graphics/logos that can be reused in the future. This turned out being a fun project that came very naturally to me.
